The Rye Book and Paper Studio was founded in 2020 by Philippa East MA, an experienced book and paper conservator, preventive conservator and bookbinder. At our studio in East Sussex, we create beautiful notebooks, guest books and sketch books, which can be purchased via our store, or made to order. The studio is also equipped to offer restoration and conservation services, and we can offer a visiting consultation service for preventive conservation and collections care. We are dedicated to preserving the integrity as well as the authenticity of heritage collections, and to keeping the priceless skills of bookbinding alive for future generations.
